Hi! I am Jingya You, a PhD candidate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research interests reside at the intersection of strategy and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on the scaling and scalability of firms as well as technological innovation. Specifically, my dissertation and main research stream focuses on the challenges and implications of firm scaling in the digital economy. My secondary research stream examines firm adaptation to technological disruptions.
With respect to research methodologies, I am enthusiastic about using a combination of causal inference econometrics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, complemented by qualitative interviews to gain a deep understanding of the phenomenon I seek to explore.
I will be joining the Department of Management and Human Resources, University of Wisconsin-Madison as an Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2025.
